MLB Biogenesis Scandal

This fits in pretty well with the Biogenesis Scandal

As most of you know, the MLB has suspended Ryan Braun for the rest of the 2013 season after he had tested positive for PED's, or performance enhancing drugs. Braun has always said he was innocent. If Braun was so innocent, why didn't he fight the suspension that was handed down to him? It is rumored to be that Major League Baseball has so much on Braun that he could have served an easy 100-game ban, so he took the 65 as a settlement.

Braun so openly denied his 2011 positive drug test, and got off, saying that the urine sample wasn't handled properly. Braun had claimed, that no illegal substance had knowingly entered his body. Well, with how quickly he took this suspension with no fight, we now know that this was not the case. Braun is a cheater. He is also a liar, and I believe that this suspension should be for next season, because let's face it, the Brewers aren't going anywhere this season.

"A-Roid", or Alex Rodriguez, is currently fighting off rumors also attached to this clinic. From watching ESPN and their reports, it is known that there is even more evidence against Alex Rodriguez than there was Braun. Though what will be done with this? Alex Rodriguez admitted to using PED's while a member of the Rangers, but evidence may say he used them in a Yankees uniform as well. He has lied about what happened, and I see the MLB cracking down with a 100-game suspension, or even a lifetime ban.

As to what happens, all we can do is wait as the facts come out. Other players connected with the biogenesis clinic include Melky Cabrera, Nelson Cruz, Francisco Cervelli, Bartolo Colon, Jesus Montero, Everth Cabrera, and Gio Gonzalez (Gonzalez took substances that are not banned in the MLB).

It makes me sick that these players can cheat and still stay in the game of baseball, but one of the greatest hitters ever, who yes, did bet on games which is a big issue, isn't in the Hall of Fame. Pete Rose did not cheat. Rose was one of the best baseball players of all time, and I personally believe it's time to put him in Cooperstown.

I hate looking at players having remarkable years, and hear people ask what he is on. Chris Davis is having one of the best seasons in MLB history, and people look at him and say you can't hit that many home runs without being on something. To me, that's just a shame. It's time to clean up baseball.
