Falcons, Ryan, Reach $103.75 Million Extension

Matt Ryan agrees to a huge extension with the Atlanta Falcons
Matt Ryan and the Atlanta Falcons have agreed to terms on a new $103.75 Million extension, that makes Ryan one of the highest paid players in the league. Matt Ryan has definitely earned this contract with great play in the last few seasons with Atlanta. Ryan threw for over 4,000 yards each of the last two seasons, and he also threw for 29 scores in 2011, and 32 in 2012.

The Falcons are lucky to have a star quarterback in a league that depends highly on a quarterbacks success. Ryan is a star quarterback in the NFL, and has been since his he came into the league back in 2008. Ryan has started all but two games since coming into the league, and he has always been successful. He is mobile, has a cannon of an arm, and always makes good accurate throws down field. Ryan accounted for the first two back to back winning seasons in Falcons history (It's been five straight winning seasons now).

The Atlanta Falcons have a strong receiving core that includes Roddy White, Julio Jones, and soon to be Hall-of-Famer, Tony Gonzalez. With all the weapons Ryan has, the Falcons hope to make the next leap forward, as the Falcons reached the NFC Championship last season, but were unable to punch their ticket to New Orleans, coming up short against the 49ers.

"Matty Ice" or Matt Ryan, has been a big game quarterback, as he accounted for seven fourth quarter comebacks in 2012, and his first career playoff victory. Ryan is a leader, and will be leading the Falcons franchise for years to come. Falcons fans should be very excited for a bright future, and a possible Super Bowl victory.
